Das Ist Alicia Keys 4 Studio Album. Die Songs unterscheiden sich von den Vorgänger sehr. Sie sind mehr so Neo-Soul sondern gehen in die Richtig von Motown.

R’n'B kommt dir nicht ins Haus? Texte doof, Frauen eh nur Matratzenschoner, und irgendwie alles viel zu beatgebügelt? Magst du Recht haben. Meistens. Aber das neue Alicia-Keys-Album sollten auch Skeptiker mal antesten. Die New Yorkerin war nämlich schon immer eine Spur zu schlau, sich vom Business über ihre Brüste oder Gangstergastrapper vermarkten zu lassen. Klavier, Soul, Wahnsinnsstimme: So lautet Keys’ Erfolgsrezept, mit dem die 27-Jährige über 20 Millionen Platten verkaufte – und auf ihrem dritten Album beherrscht sie es besser denn je. Selbstbewusst darf der Sound auch mal kratzen, Weichspüler wie „Like you’ll never see me again“ sind die Ausnahme und angesichts solcher Songs wie der gospelhaltigen Überballade „Superwoman“, dem an Jackson Five erinnernden „Teenage Love Affair“ und dem treibenden Soul von „Go ahead“ locker zu verschmerzen.
